NDCS would like to invite you to go along to a parents information session on Monday the 3rd of June at 6.30-8.30pm. Tea and Coffee and biscuits from 6pm.
The aim of this session is to support parents/carers to become more confident in participating in decision making and campaigning. It focusses on how to get your message across, what opportunities there are to engage with decision makers and how to get involved with these opportunities. It will discuss the BSL Act as one of the opportunities to get involved in decision making and influence services in local areas. The overall objectives are to provide parents/carers with an understanding of:

Participation. Introduce parents/carers to various levels of participation and how they can become more involved with decision making at policy level.
Empowerment. To inform participants of the legal frameworks which support their right to campaigning.
Rights. Rights of children, young people and their parents/carers.
Identifying and creating change. How campaigning and consultation can make this happen.

We hope by the end of the session Parents/carers who attend will have an increased confidence in themselves and their ability to influence change. If you would like to come along and get more training on the above topics then please let me know before the 22nd of May 2019 to . or Mobile text 07872 813 951
